Susan Isaacs Kohl.
Susan Isaacs Kohl is a respected voice in early childhood education and compassionate parenting with more than thirty years of experience working closely with families. She serves as a director at The White Pony / Meher Schools, a learning community built on the belief that love nurtures learning. The word Meher means compassion, a value that guides her work with children and parents alike.
Susan writes the widely read weekly column Parenting from the Heart and is the author of six parenting books, including The Best Things Parents Do and The Best Things Mothers Do. Her writing blends education, emotional insight, and real-life parenting experiences.
Her work has appeared in Parents Magazine, Family Circle, Diablo Magazine, and the San Francisco Chronicle, and she has been featured on the Today Show as well as on television and radio programs. Susan holds a Master’s degree in education and has taught early childhood education at the college level. She has also worked as a consultant for Head Start and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
